About Us

Air Heater Seal Co. Inc. was started by Garnold R. Townsend in 1989. Mr. Townsend started the company after his retirement from American Electric Power, where he held the position of outage coordinator and maintenance superintendent at the Muskingum River Plant.

During his thirty-three years of service at the plant, he saw numerous improvements that could be made in the equipment he had purchased and the service he received, both from the equipment and the vendors. With this in mind, Air Heater Seal Company was established.
